How to set up a ViewSonic monitor with ScreenManager

1. Dowload ScreenManager application

Download the ScreenManager apk application from here, upload it onto a USB disc and then insert the USB into your ViewSonic monitor.

2. Connect your monitor

Make sure your monitor is connected via cable or WiFi.

Important! Some ViewSonic monitors do not have WiFi module as part of the standard packaging. To connect the monitor via WiFi you may need to buy the module separately.

3. Configure initial settings

Below are recommended initial settings. But you may change them as per your preference:

  1. Choose your desired language;

2. Set up Date and Time:

  • Enable Automatic Date and time via a toggle;
  • Time Zone – choose your desired time zone;
  • Enable 24-hour format via a toggle;
  • Date formatting – DD/MM/YYYY;

3. Power Saving Plan

  • Normal energy plan (recommended) and then click Confirm, when the Warning message is displayed;

  • Accept;

5. Boot Mode

  • Normal mode;

After these settings are set up, the Welcome menu will open.

4. Set up your monitor and install the ScreenManager app

  1. From the Welcome menu, go to Settings > Device1 > Signage Display2 > Security3 > Unknown Sources4.

2. Click on the House button on the remote to return to the Welcome menu > choose Folders.

Inside of the folders, choose the USB disc with the ScreenManager apk1 and new folders and files (that are present on the USB) will appear. Click on the ScreenManager apk file2 and in a new window choose Install3.

Click on Done once ready and return to the Welcome menu. A ScreenManager application icon will appear in the menu, do not launch it yet.

3. From the Welcome menu go to Settings > Device1 > Signage Display2 > Source setting3 > Custom Apps4 and click on Select App5.

Choose ScreenManager from the list, click Save and then return to the Welcome menu.

4. Use the remote and press the button with 3 lines on it (usually located in the top right corner of the remote) to open more settings.

In the settings choose: Advanced1 > Boot2> Boot on Source3 > Input4> and choose Custom5;

Go to Advanced > Other1 > Switch on state2 and choose Last Status3.

5. Return to the Welcome menu. Click on the ScreenManager application icon to launch it.

After the app starts, it will display a QR code and a Device location notification.

Choose While using the app to see the pairing code.

5. Pair the Device with your Account

Log into your ScreenManager account.

Then go to the Screens1 section and click on the New Screen2 button.

Enter the pairing code3 you see on your TV and click Pair screen4.

6. Set up your screen

Name your screen and choose its rotation

That's it! You are ready to start presenting content on your screen.

7. Present Content on the Display

With your device paired and ready to go, you can start presenting your content.

Navigate to Media page and upload images, videos or PDF presentations. To create more complex visuals or use third-party integrations such as Instagram or RSS feed, navigate to Scenes.

Publish content to the paired displays with a single click.
